Who we are
Girls Achieving Power (GAP), Inc., is a non-profit 501 (c)(3) organization that educates, enriches, and empowers Chicago's Southside communities.

Our Mission
We improve the lives of Chicago's Southside communities by closing the academic achievement gap through lenses of empowerment, collaboration, and sustainability.
 
What we do
Since 2013, we have partnered with mentoring organizations, nonprofits, and schools, so our communities can reach their full potential. Through our partnerships, we provide reading and math instruction, high quality mentoring, as well as post-secondary education support. In addition, we strengthen our families with access to life skills, financial literacy, cultural events, community service, food, clothing, and holiday help. Scholars can participate in our our programs from their home or in-person.
